Five Elektryxx Photo Comics issues

Afraid of Me? Issue 5

Afraid of Me? Lebanon seems to be a sieve of trouble, as most of the Middle East remains in turmoil. Most people who emigrate from a troubled country face an ongoing struggle to leave home while they remain attached to it. It is a place that aches and yearns for its people to return and be part of its daily life. The concept and photography of this story came together during a trip to Beirut. At the time of writing this blog post, Lebanon is being destroyed again with a vengeance. The proceeds of the sale of this issue will be donated to the displaced in Lebanon.

Digital monochrome photos were used in the The Pool story for the first time in the Photo Comics series. This involved the layering of digital images with film to create a unique dimension while maintaining the 35 mm texture and grain we are used to so far.

We have one more issue to conclude our series this year with the presentation of B&W photography via the comics-style book as we explore new design methods to diverge into new projects in the subsequent efforts.
